“Fantastic location. 2 mins walk to Sugamo station on the Yamanote line, the loop train, which takes you to all the places of interest. Family mart right beside the hotel and a supermarket between the hotel to the train station. Friendly and helpful staff and some of them speak English so communication wasn't a problem at all. Complimentary daily bottle of water and tea making facilities in the room. Toiletries are supplied. Hairdryer in room. Vending machine, free to use microwaves and pay per use laundrette on the 8th floor. Complimentary coffee in the lobby in the mornings. Towels and yukata are snow white! Recommended and I would personally stay there again.”

“Very accessible since it's just 5min walk from the nearest train station. Quiet location with a supermarket nearby aside from the Family Mart. Clean and comfortable. Towels are replaced everyday. ”
“Location: Fantastic location - 2 minute walk to Sugamo metro station (which is on the Yamanote line - the only line you'll really need to visit most of western / central Tokyo). Takes 10 minutes to get to Shinjuku by train, 5 to Ikebukuro, about 15 to get to eastern tokyo (Ueno / Tokyo station etc). Staff and cleanliness are great, cannot fault them at all. Nothing more to stay here. Nearby: Restaurants / loads of different shops 1 minute walk away. Convenience store right next door so 20 seconds away. Morroccan (I think?) restaurant onsite downstairs. Mcdonalds about 2 mins away. Pachinko parlours right nearby. Sugamo itself is actually a pretty nice place to stay. Its very well located, and ultimately even if you choose to not stay here - MAKE SURE YOU STAY SOMEWHERE ON THE YAMANOTE LINE. I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH IT WILL MAKE YOUR LIFE MUCH MUCH EASIER. Cant fault this place really.”
“Good location - 2-3 minutes walk from Sugamo train station (there is yamanote line stop and subway stop here). You can easily reach every place in Tokio in max. 30 minutes. Staff is professional. Room was clean and comfortable (considering nine square metres :) ) Wi-fi was good enough. Nice neighborhood - lot of bars, restaurants and shops.”
