“The hotel location is very central, and perfect for exploring Tomsk on foot. Rooms are in good condition, and relatively cheap.”
“The reception staff were exceptional. They went out of their way not only to help us see Tomsk but also to ensure that our travel plans for the next steps were completed before we left. We were accommodated at a special rate for an extra afternoon and evening to make our departure on a midnight train as straightforward as possible. Natalie, at the tourist booth in the hotel, was also very helpful. She had no English, but worked with one of the Elenas (you apparently have to be called Elena to be a receptionist) to book transport ahead for us. We were made to feel most welcome, and recommend them highly. The sourpuss in charge of the cafeteria let the image down, but the breakfast itself was OK. Offering juice would be a good step.”
