“The staff were very friendly; we chatted to the chef every morning at breakfast. We had a chalet room which was great for convenience of access. It was comfortable and clean, slightly tired bathroom but I'm starting to get picky now. The room was warm and comfortable with Freeview TV. The location was a quiet village and very convenient for exploring the area between Herne Bay, Deal and Dover”
“Dogs made welcome- even came into bar for breakfast with us , Beds lovely, Husband said best sausages he'd ever tasted for breakfast . Can't wait to come back in the summer , the garden looked great and there looks like there are some nice walks on the doorstep .”
“Comfortable en-suite room to the rear of the main inn. Lovely old village setting. Very friendly and welcoming staff, and excellent dinner and breakfast in a cosy and inviting old pub setting.”
“The bed were very comfortable would definitely stay here again. Staff were very friendly. Although I never spent much time in the room, It was just what we needed. I asked to check out a little later not much but it was not a problem.”

“Beds comfy. Although would have preferred a double bed.”
“Lovely comfy bed. Chocolate on my pillow. Coffee and tea in room. Large bathroom. Off road parking. Nice cooked breakfast.”
“Excellent fish and chips for bar meal. Also first class cooked breakfast. Would recommend this pub for visiting Deal and Sandwich.”
“The chalet in which we stayed was excellently situated - on the ground floor at the rear of the pub with direct access to the car park and garden (for Molly the dog). We were not disturbed by any noise from the pub. The pub itself was superb. Very friendly staff and locals, extremely dog-friendly, excellent menu, well cooked and a great choice of beers. Footpath to Sandwich right next to the pub - another boon for dog owners.”
