“I really enjoyed my 2 night stay. The hotel is a lovely, old building set in beautiful gardens next to Verulamium Park and in the historic part of St. Albans. My room on the second floor was modern and well equipped with a nice view of the gardens, even though it was up two flights of stairs (no lift) and along a windy corridor. The staff were attentive, friendly and well informed. Breakfast was an absolute pleasure in the lovely dining room where i had enjoyed an excellent dinner the night before. I really like this hotel and it definitely punches at and above its four star rating. I thoroughly recommend.”
