It's a bit further away from the Belgischen Viertel etc, but public transport in Cologne is super. Personnel is very helpful and friendly, breakfast was great, hygience is perfect. I would recommend this to everyone.”

From the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff to the incredible cleanliness of the room everything was wonderful. Bathroom itself was the size of some hotel rooms in Europe ! One of the great pleasures of traveling in Europe is the small boutique hotels found in most cities. Stern am Rathaus tops the list of such hotels.”
“Very helpful emails beforehand explaining how to find hotel. Small place but modern, clean, comfortable. Nice toiletries and chocolate on the pillows! Good breakfasts, friendly staff, particularly liked the hard-boiled eggs with little knitted hats. Perfect central location for exploring Cologne.”
“Wonderful small hotel . Super friendly staff , superb location within walking distance of most of the city sights, very clean. Breakfast was phenonomal ! Parked in a car park about 3 minutes walk away at a reduced rate via the hotel and even though it was very busy in Cologne this weekend we found a space easily . Didn't use the car for the rest of our stay as we walked everywhere but did get a taxi on Saturday night to meet some friends on the other side of town. Would definitely go to back Stern Am Rathaus !”

“Staff were very helpful & friendly & we liked the daily information/ weather updates at breakfast; The rooms were lovely - we had 2 for our family, both were high quality with nice added touches such as UK & US sockets in addition to the European one. The breakfasts were fab - plenty of variety, freshly made omelettes, home made bread, jams & smoothies. Great location in the old town but on a quiet road.Overall an excellent place to stay.”
