“The hotel used to be a palace, it's a very nice place, with gorgeous room and a beautiful garden. It was really nice to stay here. The staff is super friendly and efficient, and the breakfast is very good. On our check out the hotel gave us a gift from Jaipur, we loved it!!”

“Everything rooms are large and comfortable and the property is very peaceful The staff are very attentive and certainly make you feel like Royalty I had a stomach bug whilst here, nothing to do with eth property, and the start went out of their way to assist with home made remedies being delivered to my room and questions as to my wellness from just about all staff It was my wife's birthday whilst here and again every staff member gave a personal greeting and well wishes and even a cake delivered to the room Highly recommended”

“We liked everything about this hotel ,the rooms,the cleanliness ,the welcome and admirable staff who went over and beyond to make our holiday a success. The breakfast was superb and the staff were so helpful when my daughter was poorly and they collected medication for her. We travelled with my 4 year old granddaughter and everyone was very kind to her doing kite flying ,arranging the flowers and watching the magic man THe photos really don't do justice to the rooms or the swimming pool area”
“Bedroom was huge with lovely comfy mattress and pillows. The food in Amber restaurant was amazing. The chef and waiters so attentive but always empty when we were there. Maybe because the lighting/decor/ambience didn't match the food and service? Walking around the grounds of Ramburgh Palace was a delight, although quite pricey to eat and drink there.”
“The chef giving us a personal cookery demo was a huge highlight of our whole trip. Every member of staff is a credit to the hotel. The food in the Amber restaurant was top notch, made with the freshest ingredients and beautifully served by the brilliant staff. As The SMS is part of the Taj group and shares grounds with it's very posh, but in no way stuffy, Rambagh Palace hotel next door, we were able to use the restaurants and bars there too. We had a very atmospheric meal and drinks in Steam, a converted steam train carriage, on one night, and enjoyed fine dining in one of the fine dining rooms on our last night. It was an amazing experience that we will always remember. We loved every single thing about our stay in The SMS and hope to return again. Huge thanks to my friend Sharon for recommending here to us.”
“I really appreciated the kind staff. They were very attentive and welcoming. I was lucky to fall ill while staying at this hotel because the staff took very good care of me. The property is also very nice, the rooms are comfortable. The breakfast offers many different options. Ah, and the shower was great, a strong, refreshing stream, not these little drizzles that you get at many hotels. ”
