“Everything. The old atmosphere of the house and surroundings. The restaurant has fantastic menu. I had a heart steak, one of the best I have tried. The bar is great, there you will meet the locals since the location of this Tavern is a little bit in the country side. Breakfast is excellent, typical Dutch, so don't expect bacon/beans and fried eggs. For cyclist and hikers this is perfect place to stay because of all the options all around this place. The staff is so friendly and helpful. I came there to stay for one night because of work. The beds are so comfy and clean. It was cheap and you shear a bathroom, which is optional. But what a surprise. I am going there again. No question.”

“Lovely restaurant/bar with accommodation that I've previously only been to for beers as I've stayed with friends locally. Great part of the world for a stop-over. Room with en-suite shower room was adequate for our needs for one night. The food is great and would highly recommend the spare ribs.”

The food served for dinner is amazing and the old building has been very well maintained and gives very cosy surroundings.The fact that the locals come here to eat and drink completes the local atmosphere.”

“The hotel is a wonderful water mill from the xvi century. The decoration of the building is really unique with a rustic touch that goes great with the environment. There is a river just outside with beautiful land and paths to go with the bike. We had a perfect sunny day and the staff helped us make your trip unforgettable. I'd love to come back!”

“The free-standing bathroom in the suite was great. There is a separate shower & fluffy bathrobes as well :) The suite room is very spacious & comfortable. In the morning you can walk into the Dutch countryside and a nearby village. The hotel is well-located if you wish to visit Valkenburg. It is also much more economical than staying in Maastricht (and more peaceful). But you must have your own car - I could not see any public transport nearby.”
