“This is budget priced accommodation with great food and fairly peerless service .....this close to London? It feels like this should be a well kept secret.”
“Warm welcome, very friendly staff. Comfortable rooms, need some updating to modern standards but good value for money. Nice toiletries supplied in bathroom, white fluffy towels, and great powerful shower. Comfortable bed.”
“the Anchor is in a great location for us, clean and neat (as one would expect in a 400 yo pub) staff are great and very helpful especially the Manager, Breakfasts are good with a decent choice, the water is hot so showering is nice or one can bathe instead. Residents have their own car off street car park with access to reception from there and the free wifi works a treat (not difficult to use at all)”
“Good parking in a busy village square, also room was very peaceful”
“very suitible location fo my business trip, very freindly and helpful staff”
“The hotel building is really lovely, the bar and the restaurant is cozy. The staff is incredibly nice, high five to everybody working in this hotel.”
“Good breakfast menu, good hotel in a 400 year old building, brilliant!”
“Staff were great and the food was really good. Room was fine but the bathrooms are dated and need renovating. Would recommend and will be booking again”
“The young lady at reception/on bar was extremely professional, personable and a major asset to the hotel. If she’s this good so early in her career, she’ll be running Radisson in about ten years. The new manager, not on duty but in the bar, will likely be just as much an asset. I stay in so many hotels. It’s not the room, it’s not the location, it’s the people. In the morning the overnight guy who did breakfast was the same. Loved it.”
“Everything The Anchor Hotel was perfect for our needs 😀”
