“The accommodation has been recently renovated to a good standard. Our room was small with basic facilities, but the en-suite toilet and shower was roomy and spotless. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast selection was good. Free car parking is nearby. Food in the restaurant looked good and well priced - we arrived too late on a Sunday to eat there, but there are several take-aways nearby, and the Bull will even lend you plates and cutlery. A nice touch was a small complementary bottle of wine in the room, very welcome after a long drive from Scotland! And with several real ales on tap in the bar, what more could we want?”

“Good central location in town, I wanted a good value B&B not far from the motorway, this filled the bill. I had an evening meal there which was very good, as was the breakfast. The start time for breakfast of 8 a.m. may be a bit late for some, but there is an option of a voucher that can be used at a cafe nearby. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The car park is a bit small, but there is free parking nearby.”
