“We enjoyed our overnight stay at the Crags hotel. Found the room clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is a bit rough and ready; has lots of character though which is what we liked about it. Had our two dogs with us that were made very welcome at no additional cost which was great. Loved the compact and bijou bar which might not be everyone's cup of tea; full of locals who were all very friendly but liked to eff n blind constantly. So if your offended easily perhaps go somewhere else. The breakfast was amazing; best I've had in years. All cooked to order so have to wait a bit which didn't mind as you have time to take in the delights of the lovely dinning/breakfast room. Found it good value for money at £70 for the room (free dogs), especially since it was easter friday. Free parking at the back too. Overall loved this place and will definitely be back.”
“The hotel is old, so could be described as quaint but the location is very central in the centre of Callander. The Bar downstairs is very busy but our stay was undisturbed. The beds were very comfortable, the water hot and the breakfast superb!”
