“Whilst not quite Buckingham palace, this value hotel is clean and homely and has an unintentionally quirky retro feel. The staff are of an especially helpful and cheery disposition and the bar/restaurant has a relaxing ambiance overseen by a curious statue of Pig Yoda. The lovely lady chef actually came out of the kitchen to check that we hadn't been afflicted with some malady of the brain in our request to omit chips from our meal, and offered a plethora of potato based alternatives to ensure we met our starchy quota for the day. Foods are basic but good (and so cheap!) Puddings were fabulous. Rooms were sparse, but clean and warm, bed was comfy and complete with tea facilities.”
