“This hotel is an absolute gem! For the price you really can't go wrong. I must admit I was a bit dubious about the shared bathroom arrangement but in actual fact the bathrooms were beautifully decorated and kept to such a high standard that you would never know that you were actually sharing with other guests. The pub below was warm and friendly. The staff and locals couldn't have done enough for us. From ordering taxi's to recommending the best bars and restaurants to visit. Ian and his staff have a lovely hotel here, I will be without a doubt visiting again!”

“An unusual place of two halves. The pub itself is a real old fashioned drinking pub. Loud, noisy; makes your ears hurt. But the hotel part of it is really quiet, tastefully decorated, clean and tidy. You couldn't want for more. Breakfast was a little unusual because it's a self catering breakfast. But I have never seen such a well stocked kitchen and you can take anything you want. I think this is a contractors hotel it's used during the week.The staff and locals are extremely helpful, pleasant and most welcoming. The globe is excellent value for money and would I stay there again yes”
