“Better breakfast the the 4 star hotels. Location and chill out spaces. Cosy lounge and outdoor seating area”
“Centrally located in Hitchin with a (tight) car park. Good cooked breakfast and friendly staff.”
“Excellent service very polite staff especially the young lady on the desk booking in and the young lady at breakfast”
“Lovely family run hotel, very friendly, breakfast was great. Being a late 18th Century Grade II listed building it's quirky and quaint, and has typical old English charm, though a little tired. It's like Marmite, you'll either love it or hate it. If you're used to crisp, modern, contemporary, sharp lines, wet rooms and power showers it's not for you.”
“The room was good sized,so was the bathroom. There was a supply of all the essentials (hair dryer, toiletries, kettle and a variety of teas, coffee ect) and everything that guarantee a nice stay. The breakfast was also very nice. Ordered full English and it came fast, being really tasty, with products of good quality being used. ”
“The room was clean and warm. Nice selection of teas/coffees. Central location. Friendly staff.”
“Breakfast is generous and freshly cooked to order. Proprietor was friendly and helpful.”
“The breakfast and the staff were the best bit not keen on the lay out and the decor”
“The hotel is a 5 minute walk to the town centre and a short drive to the ring road leading out of Hitchin. The owners Nick and Josie are two of the nicest people we met , they went out of their way to make sure all our needs were met and our stay enjoyable, bottled water and biscuits were put in our room every morning and we never had to ask for toiletries or fresh towels, I can honestly say this has to be the best hotel we have stayed in by far for cleanliness, location and above all friendliness.”
“Staff were lovely and friendly. Breakfast was very good.”
