“This is a real hideaway approx. 15min away from town in the middle of small hills. Very modern but simultaniously super cosy. We had a wonderful room with top view. The staff was so kind you wouldn't believe. The breakfast and dinner was delicious.”

“10 days-Travel in Sri Lanka, The Plains is the best hotel I wanna rate for reasons as below, #1, The kind housekeeper, served us intimately, he could make good coffee and fried rice as well. #1 again, The benevolent and funny main chef, he made delicious food of many cuisines, he has 2 daughters and a son, he's a good dad as well. #2, The good view of the mountains around, this house has a really open view, you could enjoy the nature sitting in the sofa. #3, Their strawberry factory is below the house inside the farm land, you could walk around and talk with the local people while they are working with all birds around. #4, This stop is nearby Horton Plains, and the housekeeper made us takeaway breakfast for us in the very morning, tasted good. #5, Thanks to the host as well even though he's not there.”

“This place certainly bring us a good start of our trip in Sri Lanka. There is only 3 rooms in the bungalow and another chalet with 1 min walk. Amazing view and extremely quiet (this was exactly what we want) Lovely staff, so polite and always thinking about customer. They might not speak English very well but its not an issue at all. They try to separate guest dining time so we can have our own dining area and enjoy your meal time with your friends/families. We were there during xmas, they even prepare a xmas bbq for all the guest. we had a bbq outside in the balcony under the stars. Appreciate how much effort that put in just to make their guest feel welcome! If you want a tour or driver, they can also recommend/arrange one for you with fair price and good service. (You must go on tuk tuk to see the whole tea plantation area) They also prepare packed breakfast if you are leaving early for the tour. It just a nice little thought but makes a huge difference.”
