“From the name and the picture on the listing, you might imagine that this is an old-fashioned, traditional New England inn. In fact, it is basically a motel; however, with that said, everything works reasonably well. The rooms are spacious, and clean. The breakfast was fresh, included eggs and sausage.”

“The owners are so nice and accommodating. I have to admit when we firstdrove in we both had huge question mark looks at each other. You see theback of the building, not the front so no cars. It actually looks a bitabandoned, but, I can assure you it is not. The rooms are very nice andclean, the beds were comfortable. We were there for a school visit, thiswas a perfect location. This is not a "take the kids for theweekend" place if you are looking for a pool, play area. This isfor a nice quiet, clean, reasonably, priced place to spend your eveningsafter exploring Putney and the area.Nice comfortable office and nice continental breakfast. Once they finish the restaurant, that they are remodeling, it will be even better. We will stay again when we are there next year.”

“While I had read some less than positive reviews (mostly about how the restaurant was closed and you entered the hotel from the back parking lot), the place was wonderful. Great location off of 91, LARGE modern room and bathroom, many extras in room (coffee maker, ironing board, hair drier, dressing area, nice desk area, etc.), comfy bed, very well lit, and so forth. It was a great value for the money.”
“It was a busy weekend in Putney and this was the only accommodation in the area to have space available. The hotel is in "transition" - shifting from a vacant property to one that has been slightly remodeled and reopened about one year ago. Get there while it's fresh, as the "updates" are minimal and will not last long.”
“Housekeeping was excellent. Room/bed comfortable. Perfect location for attending Yellow Barn Music Festival concerts. Refrigerator, micro-wave were clean and fine for a motel room.”
