“Good wifi considering it was quite a remote country pub. Nice pub restaurant food meaning that we could enjoy a nice meal and a bottle of wine without having to worry about driving somewhere in the evening. Good breakfast . Clean ensuite room with tea and coffee making facilities. Did all It said on the tin . The owner is a huge football fan and loves to talk football if that is what you want. He also has 2 nice dogs that we got to meet because we asked to but we didn't see them in the bar area and they weren't noisy so no problem for non dog lovers.”
“Great place to stay good location staff excellent food including breakfast and evening meals were very good couldn’t have asked for a more friendly and welcoming B&B, would definitely stay again. Thanks Glyn and Angela for looking after us Mick and Kath.”
“Superb breakfast - heating a little to efficient in the room but we were able to control it effectively. Easy access to lots of walking in the Peak District and also access to local towns”

“Great example of small English pub. Hospitality and meals were very good. Not 'haute cuisine' but hearty and honest. Welcoming staff and friendly locals make this a winning destination.”

“Hosts very good, liked the garden, breakfast brilliant.”
“Food was good, cooked to order so had to wait. Not for those in a hurry but as adult daughter and I were staying there, this may have made a slight difference. The atmosphere was very friendly in the bar and restaurant. Didn't feel rushed for breakfast or on leaving. Lovely and peaceful. Good value for money.”
“A lovely country pub. Friendly and clean. Made to feel welcome and the food was out of this world. The bedroom where clean and warm. Couldn't find fault with anything. ”
