“The meal on our first night was lovely but marred by the first course as we believe this was a frozen product and not handmade. The room was perfect, a little noisy on our second night but it was short and sweet, the only thing that needs updating in our opinion is the bathroom. Apart from this we have enjoyed our stay, James was our host and the staff - especially our barman whom served us on Saturday night regarding snacks and drinks for the evening with great music, multitasked guy who cooked the brilliant breakfast the next morning on our last day. “A very good choice of cooked breakfasts was offered. In addition to full English there was eggs benedict, eggs royal and kippers. The old building had a lot of character. It was a short walk to the station for easy and picturesque run into Bath by train.”
