“The owner is so nice, I booked the room for 2 persons stay but actually only I did the trip, when the owner finally found this he just charged me half of the price even I said this is totally fine to me. Location also perfect”

“Very Central location and quite property near the lake and the bus St. Very clean room. Absolutely welcoming and polite staff. Wide library with books for all ages. Extremely reasonable price for a way beyond good dinner the second night.”

“We arrived as the township was coming out of hibernation. Most hotels had not yet opened and indeed on our first night I think we were the only guests. Because of our last minute booking on our first night the onsen was not yet opened and the restaurant closed. However next day all was fine. A great onsen and excellent Japanese food. The room was excellent with terrific views and the location opposite the bus station was great Despite a lack of English the manager went out of his way to help us and make us comfortable The walk from the Lake towards Oraise is execptional, winding along a mountain stream with waterfalls cascading along the way along a well defined (almost wheelchair friendly) track for up to 14 km. You can bail at any of the bus stops along the way”

“The location of this hotel is proper. Service is also wonderful. I enjoy the room beside lake, outside hot spring and delicious meal. If I go to Towadako again, I will choice it.”

“Came for Towadako winter story.The building may look old, but the facilities are decent. I like the traditional room that i stayed in facing the lake.Too bad it was powder day so no sunrise view(the room is facing sunset though). Also tried the public bath.The staff are super friendly as they are nice to chat with (American guy n Chinese(?) girl).The breakfast was super good sashimi. Take note, no western breakfast(breads etc) as its per person serving base on scheduled time. The breakfast made the whole room fee+breakfast value for money”

“Location near JR Todawako stop, close to Todawako information center and public park. Hotel is on the lake shore. Shops are nearby. Lake view is superb. Room is large and comfortable. Breakfasts is good.”
