“The bedrooms are very spacious and have all the basic equipment one would expect, even though the decoration is somewhat impersonal. Staff are very courteous and always willing to help, and the swimming pool and jacuzzi are great to cool off after a hot day. We enjoyed the restaurant, which boasts a short but creative menu and a good list of local wines. Breakfast was good, without being exceptional. The highlight, of course, is the location, and the great views from most bedrooms! The hotel is very close to the footbridge over the Douro and into Régua: excellent if you are exploring the region without a car!”
