“absolutely awesome breakfast at the sister Hotel Astoria - that point can't be stressed often enough!!! (they even do great omelettes for our international guests, which can be a problem in Austria) rooms with balcony seem to be lots smaller than the ones without; the room with balcony (I think it was Nr. 11) had 2 identical paintings on the wall which was curious ;-) for the rest also see my other review cause it's the same”
“centrally located B&B/Hotel with affordable price (for Pörtschach standards anyways...), unbelieavably awesome breakfast at the 4* sister Hotel Astoria within 5min (at the most) walking distance, private lake access also only a short walk away, close walk to Congress Center at the town square, old buidling structure but nicely restored and well kept, fast wifi”

“The hotel is located very centrally in Pörtschach. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The staff speak excellent English, however I also tried to converse with them in German. The hotel restaurant is spacious and provides a great breakfast buffet. You can even eat your breakfast at the hotel's terrace, which is in an inner courtyard so passers-by won't disturb you. The hotel has its own private space on the shore of the lake Wörthersee, which you'll find you'll need, as pretty much the entire northern shore of the lake in Pörtschach is private property. As a guest of the hotel, you can go swim there at your leisure.”
