“Enjoyed being so close to town which was close to many restaurants and shops. We also had breakfast included in our stay which was a quick and delicious way to start our morning.”

We didn't use the pool but could see that it was kept up and inviting. The desk clerk gave us ideas of what to see and she was spot on!!!!”
“The breakfast was not free, but it was delicious! We were there in the offseason so the beach space was fine, but I imagine it gets quite crowded during peak season. The view from the rooms are pretty good with angled windows. The noise level was good, and parking was easy. Check out was a breeze.”

“The location of the property is ideal; it is walking distance to downtown Traverse City. Parking was free and plentiful, and WiFi access was free and relatively stable. My room had a lake-view, which was pretty nice. The live entertainment was nice, and the beach-front terrace was also quite nice.”

“Location, location, location! We were right on the beach on West Grand Traverse Bay during the Cherry Festival. We had front row seats to the air show and the 4th of July fireworks, and it was only about a 1/2 mile walk down the lakefront to the Cherry Festival grounds and to downtown Traverse City. It's also a very bike friendly town with the hotel being located right on the TART trail. Also, they had live music every day we were there out on the patio by the beach, which was a plus. We ate once and had drinks a few times at the Dayclub restaurant/bar on site, and the food and drinks were good. The staff was very courteous and helpful! They even allowed us to store our bikes in a maintenance closet.”

“We have stayed here before and we will again, I'm sure. On this trip we had planned to spend Friday and Saturday nights in another city a little over an hour away. However the accommodations were so poor that we said, "To heck with this! If West Bay has an opening, we are going there." Lucky for us, you did! It was even worth the extra expense for a last minute booking. The rooms are always clean, spacious and comfortable, and our dog is relaxed there as well. The location can't be beat. You can walk to downtown, Clinch Park, or you can just stay on the hotel's little slice of beach and soak in the sun, the bay, and go kayaking. Whatever you want to do is just a walk, or maybe a short drive away.”
“The young man at check in was extremely kind and helpful as I was traveling with my 85 & 87 year old parents with some mobility needs. The deck staff was also very kind when we took so long to have them eat and did not order very much food. The waiter was patient and understanding of their needs while the food was good too.”
