“Beautiful old hotel with updated rooms, lobby, restaurant and bar. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. The bed was comfortable. Would have liked an ocean view, but didn't specifically ask for it. The grounds are gorgeous. They are full of old oaks with Spanish moss and overlook the ocean. Located near historical homes and sites. What really impressed us was the bar. There was a great happy hour with half-price appetizers that were so rich we could make a dinner out of them. The bartenders were friendly and enjoyed talking to the customers. I had probably the best cocktail of my life there! It was made with gin or vodka, cucumber and ginger. Wish I had the recipe!”
“We really enjoyed our stay at The White House. It's just across the street from the Gulf of Mexico. It has a restaurant on site and a nice bar area with large windows to see the water. Our room was large, clean and newly remodeled. It has four floor and two elevators. We will definitely stay here again.”
