“The eggs were served on beds of hot gravel and the milk came from cows that you could see out in the pasture before you. There was also (in the evenings) a green liqueur served from a giant carafe that was delicious and had the most beneficial effects on our stay. It broke our hearts not to be able to take a sample home but we were already overweight with our luggage: however, we are already planning a return (a) to write down its name (b) buy bottles of the stuff.”
