“Staff were very nice, helpful and welcoming. Hotel is very dog friendly. Rooms are nicely decorated and clean. Good tea and coffee facilities in rooms. Free good WiFi around whole hotel including rooms. Hotel is set in beautiful grounds with access straight into the new forest.”

“TV didn't work in the first night, but reception took care of everything very swiftly! We got a new TV immediately. On the day of our arrival reception also provide us good instructions to the neerest restaurants and local attractions. Also the hotel provides leaflets with nice walks around the new forest.”

“Female manager upgraded our room after terrible, unwecoming treatment by male receptionist. Female manager was kind and went out of her way to rectify the behaviour of others - she must be the reason for all the awards as it was really a pretty average place. She’d do well moving somewhere upscale that would allow her to shine. but really id get rid of particularly the grumpy receptionist as he is not who you want as the face of the in. I hated going downstairs as the grumpy receptionist made me feel so uncomfortable. The hunter dinner restaurant was delicious. Maybe come to eat but stay elsewhere. I would’ve walked out the door as soon as i was told “im really busy” when we arrived and tried to check the in was i not alone with two under 5’s and no car.”
“All the staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was excellent for adults although the children's menu was a little too sophisticated for small children - apart from the wonderful ice cream! - and the size of portions too large. Excellent value for money”
