“We opted for the cheapest standard king room option which was sufficient for what we needed. We were coming back from Machu Picchu late and checking out the next day. We simply needed a place to sleep, shower and launch from the next day. The room was nice, clean, no view, our luggage was waiting for us in our room and by picking the cheaper room we essentially added on breakfast the next morning and it cost the same amount had we gotten a room with a view. The hotel let us check out late without issue and they held our luggage for us while we spent our last day in Cusco.”
“The hotel is decently located. We never felt really comfortable walking, say to the Plaza de Armas (about a 20-25 minute walk from the hotel). The staff was very helpful in arranging transportation for us since we speak limited Spanish. Plus, they were good about advising us on fair prices for taxis and the amount of time it would take to get places. We paid the little bit extra for the room with a view and it was worth it. Especially the first day when we were taking it easy adjusting to the altitude. They stored our extra luggage for us for two nights while we were in Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu) at no extra charge. Overall we were very satisfied with our stay at Wyndham Cusco Saqsayhuaman.”
