“This place is a gem, a utopia, designed and run by people who care and who apparently love what they do. Wonderful beachview bungalows made of natural materials (you can have your breakfast there on your veranda). Clean and refreshing pool. Great staff all around. The kitchen is excellent to a grade you wouldn't expect (especially the special menues on live music evenings) and - though not cheap - still reasonably priced. The hotel's weekly live music evenings are quite popular event in Matemwe. Free bicycles to rent. Free Yoga every morning while we were there.”

“The team at the hotel were fantastic! Really kind individuals who took care of their guests. The room had a veranda overlooking the pristine beach. The hotel consists of various bungalows in a quite secluded spot. Perfect if you want to wander the beach and relax. Serious cocktails which were great! Sad that we missed the live music on Friday/Saturday!”

“The vibe of this place is laid back, relaxed and attentive. (If you want a giant resort with lots of activities, this is not the place for you. If you want to chill, come here!) The owners stopped by to chat each day to make sure we were having a good time.The staff, especially Naila, were excellent. One highlight was the free daily yoga sessions which were held in a airy loft with a view of the ocean. Not only was the food delicious, the presentation of each dish at dinner and breakfast was a treat. Dinner was always preceded with a free appetizer. (I liked the somosas -which were not on the regular menu - that the chef agreed to make an entire plate of them for me for dinner the next night!) The house wine was great and inexpensive. Although there was no snorkeling on our beach, we went twice with the guys next door at a very reasonable price which has some of the best variety of fish and coral in our experience as divers and snorkelers. .”
