“The staff are excellent and very helpful. For those who don’t want a full breakfast. A hot chocolate/coffee and crossiount are available for 4 Euros. A small pleasant bar looks over the river and the old buildings reflect in the water. Snack food is available 24/7. It is a 15 munute walk to the Centre, the cable car will take you to the Citadel or over 1000 steps and right next to the Fort is the French Memorial Cemetry. One Australian is there far from home, with a handful of New Zealand and Canadian soldiers. Charles de Gaulle Bridge is covered in giant Saxaphones. If you like music the tiny free Sax museum tells an interesting story.”
