Proudly unpretentious Napoli sits on the Bay of Naples, in the shadow of Mt. Vesuvius. They include impressive temples, a forum, ancient condomoniums, and one of the largest known Roman amphitheaters. (At one time they also included neatly preserved and rather surprised humans.)
