“This is a historical hotel with pretty much all the or original facilities and decorations. Staff there are friendly and helpful and nice. Room is clean and cozy. Located in the central area of Palo Alto but very quiet. It is within walking distance to stand for university and shopping center. Love it. ”

“Its hard to beat this value and location combination, and Im keep coming back to this hotel whenever I need to stay in this area. The hotel is in the heart of Palo Alto, and practically everything is in walking distances - supermarket (Wholefoods), restaurants, bars, pharmacy, etc. The rooms have mix of modern and retro, with sufficient electronic device charging points. I usually take the shared bathroom/toilet rooms, and haven't had any inconvenience so far. Its somehow always kept nicely clean. The bed linen is of the high quality one and bed is very comfortable. I had few requests to the hotel and the staff were always friendly and happy to assist you as much as they can.”

“My mother has been staying at the cardinal for about 15 years and I've been staying fir the past 4-5 years. We always have a wonderful time. You can't beat the location and the comforts of the hotel. We usually stay in the rooms with shared bathroom but occasionally stay in the rooms with private baths. Both are outstanding! We love coming at Christmas time and enjoy sitting in the lobby by the tree. We will continue to stay at the cardinal.”

“I enjoyed my stay at the Cardinal, my husband, maybe not so much. That's only because the room I booked had a shared bathroom on the hall floor (our first experience with that situation). It really wasn't much of a problem; there were just a few steps to both the shower and restroom, which were always clean and spotless, and where we always found an abundance of fresh, clean towels at our disposal. Being an historic hotel, it was quaint, charming, and had something of an old world feel to it; it also had an "old world" scent. But overall the decor, room design, the staff, and accommodations were just fine for our needs. The bed was comfy, lighting sufficient, etc. Didn't have much control over room temperature, though. Still, in general, I enjoyed my stay.”
